This panoramic painting depicts the view of a woman standing at the edge of a dock rendered in one-point perspective. Across the water, a sliver of land is visible on the other side of the bay. The woman is in a grey sweater with a white shirt tail over black tights, with strawberry blonde hair, and she's holding a small dog with honey red fur in the crook of her arm. The grey and white-capped pilings echoe her outfit, especially the one close-up in the foreground to the right.
