This painting depicts three different views. The top portion shows the interior of a cottage with a window and chair. The neutral colors and textured paint alludes to a faint memory. At the bottom of the image, painted in a like manner, a chair with a desk is positioned by a window. Embedded in both these images are faint traces of the nautical charts of the surrounding water. Dividing the painting midway is a horizontal strip; a wide panoramic view of a bright sand beach under a deep blue sky with a few people walking, swimming, or sitting, and a kite flying above a white life guard's stand.
