This painting depicts the view of a turret stairway in a postmodern house. A curved window bends to the right while a crescent of the clerestory windows can be seen at the top of the painting. The corner post of the banister is designed with an intriguing pyramid top, like a Baldacchino, and each side has delicate windows whose array of mullions mimic the large window behind it. The space is full of pale amber light with a bold sienna-red railing in the foreground. Out the window is a stand of sun-drenched green trees.
