This painting depicts a woman kneeling to embrace two small children, a young boy and girl dressed in matching stripped blue and white outfits. The view of the ocean is seen in the background. Embedded within the painting are the faint outlines of nautical charts of the surrounding waters. A shelf is attached to the bottom of the canvas. Six small square paintings are resting on the shelf. Reminiscent of a collection of photographs, each painting depicts a view of children at play and posing for the viewer.
