For those of you with low vision:
In overlapping view, reminiscent of a double exposed photograph, this panoramic painting depicts multiple intersecting perspectives. The bottom portion of the painting depicts the cropped view of a woman resting her head on man’s shoulder on a clear summers day. The man is wearing a baseball cap, and two beach chairs are seen sitting next to the couple. The blue of the sky reaches across the composition and serves as a transition to the upper portion of the painting, which depicts two young girls passing a large beach ball on a sandy shore. Two layered views are shown of the children, one depicting the girls playing at a distance, with a picket fence running behind them, next to a large patterned beach umbrella which echoes the reoccurring shape of the balls. The second overlapping view of the children shows the ball breaching the picture plane, while the young girl moves towards the viewer as she chases after it. A puppy is seen behind her as well as the umbrella. This watercolor painting is depicted with more gestural and loose marks.
