This is a study for a painting I did of a house deep in the horse country of Virginia, a vintage house, like a well-worn leather jacket.

For those of you with low vision:
In overlapping view, reminiscent of a double exposed photograph, this painting depicts multiple intersecting perspectives. The top portion depicts the back of a farm house tucked in the yellow trees of autumn. Stairs running down the patio line the back of the house with two potted trees resting on either side of the first step. Layered overtop, in the bottom portion of the painting, is the view from the interior of a dimly lit room looking out onto a window to the backyard.
