This panoramic painting depicts the view of a gravel road on the side of a hill which recedes into the horizon. To the left of the painting large trees line the pathway, casting contrasting shadows onto the trail. The side of the hill, covered with dried yellow ochre grass, and scattered trees extents to the right. The roof of a house is seen emerging behind the golden hill as the road continues.
