In the foreground is an open deck with with a spindled baluster around it This precise rendering is set against a background of green - trees rendered in expressionist palette knife ripples of paint, around a glimpse of a small white outbuilding in an opening behind a tree trunk. There's a red soda can sitting at the top of the two steps, and, off to the side, a suitcase and backpack.
