This painting shows the interior of a minimalist, white room with a very large window looking out onto a moonlit twilight view of trees and rooftops, and, reflected in that window, a similar window that's behind you showing the sunset over a broad body of water. So you are looking both ways at once. In the foreground is a kid's toy airplane/tricycle and there's a small child's bike behind a column and that's about it for the interior, except for a peach-colored cast of light that shifts from pale violet to a cyan grey.
