painted on several layers of plexiglas that form a shallow translucent box filled with ambient light. There are words embedded in the surface of the paint.
I find that poetry which works well in a visual artwork doesn't always read as well printed on the page, and vice versa. It's like the difference between song lyrics and poetry; words that have seemed so sublime in a favorite song may look rather shabby when found printed on a page… with a few exceptions, of course. So I find that it's often best not to separately provide the text of one of my poetry pieces, because I don't want you to get the wrong impression.
