Days, I remember rooms.
Nights, I swim in the
blue lagoon.
I saw a plane today.
Flying low over the island.
But my mind was somewhere else.
And if you ever get this letter...

This paintings depicting the reflection of clouds onto tranquil water. With a monochromatic pallet of vibrant blues, the bold and expressive brush marks move diagonally across the canvas creating dynamic movement. Vibrant green highlights are scattered through the composition. Embedding in the paint are the lyrics by Laurie Anderson, from “Blue Lagoon,” with permission from the author.
