Poetry in situ
I find that poetry which works well in a visual artwork does not read as well printed on the page, and vice versa. It's like the difference between song lyrics and poetry; words that have seemed so sublime in a favorite song may look rather shabby when found printed on a page… with a few exceptions, of course. So I find that it's often best not to separately provide the text of one of my poetry pieces, because I don't want you to get the wrong impression.

This mixed media piece is created from a collage of paper nautical charts and soundings, and notes, with a poetic text written in written in sand and glue (with sparkly bits) on top.
