For those of you with low vision:
This painting depicts the reflection of a two-engine jet airplane in the clear blue sky on a stretch of open water. The waves are rendered with diagonal brush marks creating a quiet flow and swooping movement, and there's the faint reflection of the silhouettes of two tall towers. The raw sienna shaded underside of the airplane is slightly blurred in motion, aimed to move (or fall) down diagonally from the upper right corner of the canvas to the lower left. Embedded in the paint surface, almost disappearing, are the names of some of those who perished in the 9/11 tragedy.
