For those of you with low vision:
This painting depicts the interior view of a window with draped curtains, next to a sink and mirror with a simple spindle-back chair sitting in front. Out the window is a view of water. The colors are neutral and the paint is applied in stained washes. In the paint surface are faint traces of the nautical chart of the surrounding water. Embedded in the center of the canvas is a small square image of a woman seen from behind walking to a towering clapboard house, in warm autumn colors.
