This painting depicts the view down a country road flanked by bushes and trees. In overlapping view, reminiscent of a double-exposed photograph, two arched windows are pictured below. At the top of the composition is the faint depiction through a skylight window with the view onto the roof of a house. The brush marks in the center of the composition run diagonally creating a sense of movement within the painting, while also giving the sense of a light beaming through the space.
