For those of you with low vision:
This painting depicts the view from the side of a shingle house onto a grassy lawn which leads to the ocean. The cropped view of a tree fills the top left of the picture plane casting distinct shadows onto the lawn. Set in the shade below are two white lawn chairs and a picnic table. The faint traces of a nautical chart of the shoreline are visible in the paint surface.
